Kentucky RV Campgrounds
April 21 – 28, Location: North central Tennessee about 65 miles east of Nashville and 15 – 20 miles north of I Exit Follow the signs to Carthage and then to the campground on Cordell Hull Lake a few miles farther. We choose COE campgrounds whenever we can.
Our “jobs,” which totaled around 20 hours a week each, were in exchange for a full-hookup campsite that included Wi-Fi and laundry. To pay our bills, I worked at a restaurant in town, and Pete picked up the occasional odd job.
This fee is not applicable when you rent a boat slip. This may be done via check or with a credit card. Upon receipt of the deposit you will be sent out a confirmation that contains cancellation and campground policy and rate list with map. It is your responsibility to verify the information contained on the confirmation. We hold our guests responsible for each and every day of your reservation. Arriving late or leaving early will still result in being charged for your full reservation.
If you wish to cancel or alter your reservation you must do so 7 days prior to your arrival date. If you cancel 7 days or more prior to your arrival date there is no cancellation fee. Cancellation fee of 1 night’s base rate will be charged if reservation is cancelled less than 7 days prior to arrival date. For holiday reservations the above policies apply, in addition, if you cancel less than 48 hours prior to your arrival date you will be responsible for a three day rental at the base rate.
You will be asked to pay for your site in full upon your arrival. No one can swim alone.

This campground is in western Alabama, just a stone’s throw from the Mississippi state line. Knowing that campgrounds especially those with large bodies of water fill up quickly for Memorial Day weekend, we made reservations a couple of months in advance. When we arrived on Friday afternoon, there was a sign at the entrance that indicated the campground was full.
Pickensville is a large campground with five camping loops. The most popular sites along the waterway are first-come, first-serve only. One of the unique features about this campground and I guess all along the Tennessee Tombigbee is that it is a navigable waterway. During our stay, we saw or heard several tugboats. The working boats share the waterway with recreational boats of all shapes and sizes. We camped at site 44, which was a very roomy spot with woods to our “living side”.

We Would Rather Be Camping! Sunday, September 23, The Other Branson When I think of Branson, the first thing that comes to mind is the entertainment strip and all of the shows. That is not something that neither Rick or I was interested in, so we found other things to do while in the Branson area. The lake is beautiful and you could spend your time their or on one of the walking trails without ever leaving the state park area.
We did go into downtown Branson and walk along the boardwalk actually sidewalk that runs along Lake Taneycomo. While were were downtown, we went into Dick’s 5 and 10 store. This store was a has ALL kinds of toys, candy, souvenirs, Christmas stuff, etc. You can spend quite a lot of time just looking at all the stuff they have. We also had ice cream at Mr.

California State Parks Campgrounds Dogs are allowed in California State Parks campgrounds, but must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet and in a tent or enclosed vehicle at night. Pets are not permitted in park buildings, on trails, or on most beaches. Angeles National Forest Campgrounds Campsites are first come, first served with a maximum day stay at a site, and a total of 30 days stay per year in this Forest.
The Angeles National Forest offer group campgrounds on all three of the ranger districts, some accommodating up to campers. Dogs on a leash are allowed in the campgrounds and on the trails. Recreational Vehicles no longer than 30 feet. There are 40 campsites.
